Microdermabrasion

Crystal Microdermabrasion is a safe, non-invasive medical procedure that dramatically removes dead skin cells.  It can be performed on several areas of the body that are prone to signs of aging, spotting and scarring, such as the face, neck, décolleté and hands.  Based on an individual’s specific condition and skin type, an aesthetician will recommend a single session or a series of treatments.

During each treatment, an aesthetician uses a hand held instrument that shoots a precise stream of super-fine crystals to polish away the surface layer of the skin.  This outer layer of skin, called the stratum corneum, is composed of dead skin cells that cover a second layer of cells that are still maturing.  As the stratum corneum is exfoliated, the body rushes to replace the dead skin cells with the new and healthy cells that are underneath.  The instrument is then used as a vacuum to remove the dead skin as well as impurities found in the pores.  The suction of the vacuum has been shown to increase collagen production.

Microderm Series    

For maximum benefit, microdermabrasion is usually offered in a series of six treatments, spaced seven to ten days apart.  Once the series is completed, it is recommended that you continue with a maintenance regimen, spaced one month apart.  We offer special series pricing, so you can enjoy six treatments for the price of five.
