IPL Photorejuvenation

For sun damage, age spots, rosacea, freckles, broken capillaries and benign brown pigmentation, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photorejuvenation is great for women and men who want to improve a variety of flaws on the face, hands, arms, neck and décolleté.

During the procedure, gentle light energy is applied to the skin to help repair imperfections of the complexion. Crystal Microdermabrasion is a safe, non-invasive medical procedure that dramatically removes dead skin cells.  It can be performed on several areas of the body that are prone to signs of aging, spotting and scarring, such as the face, neck, décolleté and hands.  Based on an individual’s specific condition and skin type, an aesthetician will recommend a single session or a series of treatments.

During each treatment, an aesthetician uses a hand held instrument that shoots a precise stream of super-fine crystals to polish away the surface layer of the skin.  This outer layer of skin, called the stratum corneum, is composed of dead skin cells that cover a second layer of cells that are still maturing.  As the stratum corneum is exfoliated, the body rushes to replace the dead skin cells with the new and healthy cells that are underneath.  The instrument is then used as a vacuum to remove the dead skin as well as impurities found in the pores.  The suction of the vacuum has been shown to increase collagen production.

Chemical Peels

A Seasons chemical peel is a gentle treatment that can be used to improve a variety of facial flaws such as blemishes, acne, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin pigmentation, sun damage and acne scarring.

A chemical peel treatment safely and gently removes the outer layer of skin (stratum corneum), leaving the face with an improved and glowing appearance.  Some mild flaking may occur as the outer layer of skin continues to peel away after the completion of the treatment. The deeper peels, like the Blueberry Jessner, have more dramatic benefits but may take a few days to a week to complete the peeling process.  The upper layer of the skin may initially appear to be sunburned, then gradually turns brown and peels or flakes away.  Because these peels work gradually, they are often combined with other treatments such as microdermabrasion or therapeutic facials to help the process.  An aesthetician will recommend the appropriate treatment program for an individual’s skincare needs.  Seasons Medical Spa offers several different chemical peels, each designed to target a special facial imperfection.
